Meet the Staff

Rebecca Olsen, CPA   Owner

Rebecca has been working as an accountant since 1992.  She began working at the firm, then Scruggs, Hiatt and Musser, CPAs,  after graduating from the University of Oregon with an MBA, focused on accounting.  She took a hiatus from working tax seasons and worked in corporate accounting at a local mid-sized retail corporation that grew from about 35 to 55 locations and over $400 million in sales during the 15 years she was there.  It was a great experience that exposed her to many aspects of running a business such as risk management, human resources, benefit plans, treasury, cash mangagement, and finance.  She rejoined Musser Olsen PC as a partner in 2016 and has assumed full ownership of the firm upon the retirement of the founder, Lee Musser.  Her goal is to provide you with solutions that meet your needs and provide stellar service while doing so.

In adddition to loving what she does professionally, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, taking her boxer dogs to the beach, gardening and attending Oregon Duck football games.  She is a lifelong resident of Brookings except for her time at U of O.  She appreciates the privilege of being able to live and work in our beautiful community. 

Nikki Maylin

Nikki joined the Musser Olsen team as our seasonal helper for the 2018 tax season and became the Payroll Manager in 2021.  She moved to Brookings in 2014 with her husband and 3 sons and loves living here.  When Nikki isn't working on your payroll, she enjoys attending her sons' sporting events, watching the Green Bay Packers, walking on the beach, and hanging out with her family.  

Rhonda Suiter

Rhonda grew up in the Eugene/Springfield area and has lived in Brookings since 1997.  In Brookings, Rhonda worked for a local construction company for several years as the payroll manager.  She became part of our team in 2003.  She specializes in S-Corporation tax returns as well as individual tax returns and can help you with Quickbooks accounting.  

Lynette Ochoa

Lynette grew up right here in Brookings as the youngest of four girls.  She enjoys spending weekends on the river or at the beach, and spending time with family.  She graduated from Oregon State University with a double major in accounting and finance.  She is currently preparing to sit for the CPA exam after taking a year off from accounting to work in Portland.  Her future plans include getting the know how to help firms and individuals with their tax needs.  

Mandy Aldrich

Mandy is our office manager, joining the team in 2016.  Mandy grew up in Siskiyou county of northern California and moved to Brookings with her family in 1997.  She has 3 grown children, 2 rescue dogs, and a granddaughter who is the joy of her life.  She enjoys camping, gardening, reading and most of all spending time with her family.
